Hyderabad: To take the fight against cybercrime and drugs to the next level, the Telangana Police on Wednesday established the Telangana State Cyber Security Bureau (TSCSB) and the Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSANB).
Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali and Revenue Minister V Srinivas Goud inaugurated the two bureaus, which will operate from the Integrated Command and Control Center complex in Banjara Hills.
Mahmoud Ali said the state government is taking all measures to strengthen the police department and provide the required funds to acquire the latest technology to excel in the prevention and detection of various crimes. “Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s emphasis from the very beginning on the need for full control of law and order in the country has greatly contributed to growth and development,” he said.
Srinivasgood said the police department was working hard to ensure peace in the state. “Drug smuggling and sales in the state have decreased due to the efforts of the police department.”
Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar said there is not much difference between conventional and cybercrime these days because in every conventional crime, technology is used. “The distinction between traditional crime and cybercrime is blurry,” he said.
