New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the site of the train accident in Odisha state on Saturday and the Cuttack hospital where the wounded are being treated.
At least 238 people were killed, 900 people were killed when the Bengaluru-Howrah Express train, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express train and a freight train collided in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday. Many people were injured.
It was one of the deadliest train accidents in the history of Indian Railways.
Modi had earlier held a meeting here to review the situation amid the ongoing massive rescue operation.
