Apolo Hospitals launched Cancer Champions United on Saturday.
Hyderabad: Jubilee Mount Apollo Hospital launched the Cancer Champions United initiative, dedicated to supporting and uplifting cancer survivors, on Saturday in the eve of Cancer Survivors Day, which will be celebrated on Sunday, June 4.
This innovative program is designed to provide comprehensive resources, community support and a platform for survivors to connect, inspire and thrive. The initiative also aims to create an inclusive and empowering space where cancer survivors can find comfort, support and encouragement, according to a press release.
Through Cancer Champions United, survivors have access to a range of valuable services and supports, including dedicated survivor programs, support groups, counseling services, educational workshops and milestone celebrations. The initiative aims to foster a sense of solidarity and shared experiences among survivors so they can move through the post-treatment phase with strength, resilience and hope.
Cancer Champions League was initiated by well-known social activist Sunitha Krishnan, actress Dimple Hayathi, Director of Apollo Cancer Center, Dr Vijay Anand Reddy, medical oncologist of Apollo Cancer Center, Dr Srinivas Chakravarthy, etc.
Cancer Champions United is open to all cancer survivors, regardless of their treatment history or cancer type.
