Minister Srinivas Goud was speaking at the Women and Children Safety event at Shilparamam, Mahabubnagar on Sunday.
mahabnagar: The establishment of SHE teams in the state has reduced crimes against women, Minister V Srinivas Goud said while attending the Women and Children Safety Program at Mahabubnagar’s Shilparamarm as the key guest on Sunday.
The Minister also noted that the state government was actively supporting women through women’s police stations and counseling centres.
He further informed that the government is providing financial assistance of Rs 100,000 for the marriage of girls under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scheme.
Also, for the empowerment of women, the government has facilitated bank loans totaling Rs 500 crore and provided opportunities for self-help groups to sell their manufactured products in constituencies, the minister added.
The event was attended by MP Manne Srinivas Reddy, MLA C Laxma Reddy, collector Ravi Naik and others.
