Hyderabad: Kokapet’s Neopolis Layout will not only serve as a model for other projects in Telangana, but also in other parts of the country, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) will do its best to equip the greenfield town with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
The future advanced infrastructure of the township includes 36-meter and 45-meter-wide roads, eight-lane internal roads with a width of 45 meters, and six-lane internal roads with a width of 36 meters. The town will also have its own lung space in the form of an internal road network with cable utility ducts, a well-established network of stormwater sewers, cycle paths, sidewalks, treed areas with street lighting.
On the microblogging site Twitter, MA&UD, Special Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar said on Monday that the greenfield towns will house a workforce of about 700,000 in the next few years.
Land uses in the Neopolis layout are classified as “multi-use areas” of commercial, residential, retail, and recreational, and no further land use reclassification is required. Another benefit granted to builders and developers is that there is no restriction on the Floor Area Index (FSI).
