Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has opened up about why he greets his fans who come barefoot and devoutly outside his house every Sunday.
Amitabha shared a series of photos of himself greeting fans outside his home on his blog. He also shared a photo of drinking water left outside for his fans due to the summer heat.
He wrote: “.. I think they waited for hours in this intense heat, so offer them drinking water and lime to quench their thirst.. 4 containers, 2 on each side of the gate.. above the ‘matka’ and above are there day and night.”
The star then mentioned why he was barefoot to greet his fans, whom he affectionately called his extended family.
“.. Some people commented sarcastically on some occasions.. “Who goes out barefoot in socks.. I say.. ‘I do’!” .. you have a point about it! ! ? ? You go to the temple barefoot.. My well-wishers are my temples! ! “
