Telugu Talons and Rajasthan Patriots score victory in thrilling first match of inaugural Premier League handball league

Jaipur: Telugu Talons and Rajasthan Patriots scored a victory in an exciting first match of the inaugural Super Handball League (PHL) on Thursday.
The Rajasthan Patriots scored a stunning victory in their opening match against the Maharashtra Ironmen in the PHL as the match ended 28-27 in favor of the Patriots. In the final game following the opening day, the Telugu Talons beat Gavit Gujarat 39-32 to win in Telugu.
Rajasthan Patriots vs Maharashtra Irons
Rajasthan Patriots take on Maharashtra Irons in their opening match of the Premier Handball League. The Rajasthan Patriots won the match as they looked to put pressure on the Maharashtra Irons early on.
Hadfsinger of the Patriots became the first scorer in league history within 3 minutes of the start of the game. Igor Chiseliov inspired the Ironmen, and they slowly found their way into the game. Dmitry Kireev was sent off as the Patriots led Rajasthan 10-8 at halftime. The Rajasthan Patriots won the first half 14-12.
The Maharashtra Irons were brilliant in the second half with fire in their stomachs and looking to put the Patriots on the back foot. Both teams played brilliantly in the second half, and the scores were all tied at 21 in the second half. The game took a thrilling turn, and the two sides continued to confront each other.
The game had an exciting ending, until the last minute, the two sides drew 27. However, the Patriots’ Mohit Ganghas scored from the penalty spot in the embers to give them their first win in the PHL. The final score of the first game was 28-27, and Rajasthan won.
For Rajasthan Patriots, Mohit Ganghas and Sahil Malik were the top scorers with 5 goals, while for Maharashtra Irons, Jalal Kiani and Igor Cicelio The husband became the top scorer with 7 goals respectively.
Mohit Ganghas was named man of the match for his energized and inspirational performance, proving the difference between the two teams at the end of the game.
Telugu Talons vs Gavit Gujarat
The second game of the day is Telugu Talons vs. Garvit Gujarat. The game got off to a hot start, with both teams attacking aggressively, and were evenly matched in the opening encounter. Halfway through the first half, the two teams tied at 11.
However, the Telugu Talons started moving away from Garvit Gujarat as they found it difficult to contain Davinder Singh Bhullar, who still ruled Gujarat despite their efforts to stop him. At the end of the first half, Telugu Talons led 19-16.
Telugu Talons hoped to hold on to their narrow lead in the second half, but Gujarat Garvit looked determined to find a way back to the draw. Garvit Gujarat sat in front of their goal as Telugu created chances at will in the first few minutes of the second half, with Davinder Singh Bhullar and Anil Khudia running riot.
Gujarat hoped to pick up the pace and fight back, hoping to catch Telugu off guard. However, despite Gujarat’s best efforts midway through the second half, the score was 32-27 ahead of the Telugu Talons.
Gavet Gujarat gave it their all in the final ten minutes of the game as they slowly moved into attack and saw them come back a bit. But, to no avail, as the game ended 39-32, Telugu Talons clinched a graceful victory at the end of the tie.
For Telugu Talons, Davinder Singh Bhullar was the top scorer with 8 goals and Amit Ganghas was also the top scorer for Garvit Gujarat with 8 goals. Davinder Singh Bhullar’s extraordinary performance in the game earned him the Man of the Match award.
