Hyderabad: Naga Chaitanya’s first bilingual film is Custody. The film was released in Telugu and Tamil. Kollywood filmmaker Vincarter Pabhu directed the film. It is produced by Srinivasaa Silver Screen.
Despite being one of the best Telugu action movies of late, Custody failed to impress the theater audience. The story chosen by Venkat Prabhu is weak and he relies entirely on action sequences and actors.
The film flopped at the box office, losing about $170 million. The movie reportedly had a break-even point of $250 million, but grossed only around $80 million worldwide. So Naga Chaitanya ended with another box office flop.
Leaving aside the film’s box office performance, there is one thing about the film that the audience can pay attention to. That’s what Naga Chaitanya does brilliantly. Naga Chaitanya is excellent in Custody’s action drama. So, if you missed out on watching The Guardians in theaters, you can try to catch a few episodes on OTT.
