To commemorate the once-in-a-decade celebration of Telangana’s Formation Day, an energetic 2K run takes place across Telangana districts

Warangal/Hanankunda: To mark the once-in-a-decade celebration of Telangana’s Formation Day, an energetic 2K run was held on Monday, starting at the Pochamma Maidan and culminating in the “O” city of Warangal. The charity run organized by the Police Force received enthusiastic responses from people from all walks of life.
The event was opened by District Collector P Pravinya and other collectors Ashwini Tanaji Wakade, RDO Mahenderji and other officials were present. The race starts with their flag, marking the beginning of a vibrant togetherness and sporting zeal.
Active participants included members of the police department, local youth, walker associations and representatives of the public, all of whom took an active part in the 2K run. All participants received souvenirs in recognition of their participation and efforts.
Meanwhile, another version of the Telangana 2K run was taking place in Hanamkonda. The run starts at Hanamkonda IDOC and ends at the public garden. The event received enthusiastic responses from young people, sports enthusiasts, police officers, doctors and the general public.
The event was opened by Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath and District Collector Sikta Patnaik.

The Telangana 2K Run was held on Monday in Kothagudem, Bhadrachalam, Manugur, Aswaraopet and Yellandu.

MLA V Venkateswara Rao, District Judge Patil Vasanth, District Collector Anudeep Durishetty, Sheriff Dr. Vineeth G participated in the 2K run from Laxmidevipalli Market to Prakasam Stadium in Kothagudem.
SP would like to thank the people of Kothagudem and Paloncha towns for their great participation and success in the 2K Run. He said the Telangana police ranks first in the country due to the state government’s prioritization of the department.
MLA Venkateswara Rao said the festive spirit could be seen on a daily basis with the enthusiastic participation of people and youth in the once-in-a-decade celebration organized under the supervision of efficient district officials.

Multiple 2k runs were organized on a massive scale in the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Monday. Political leaders, government officials, athletes, students and others actively participated in the running events held in the Karimnagar, Jatil, Perdapari and Rajana-Sirsila districts.

Collector RV Karnan, Police Commissioner L Subbarayudu and others participated in the run in Karimnagar. The run started from Ambedkar Stadium and reached the Police Parade Ground.
In Rajanna-Sircilla, collector Anurag Jayanthi, police chief Akhil Mahajan and others participated in the run from Weaver Statue to Bathukamma ghat in Sircilla town.
Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, ZP Chairman Dava Vasantha, Collector Yashmeen Basha, SP A Bhaskar and others attended the event at Jagtial.
Peddapalli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy, Municipal Chairman Mamatha, Additional Collector V Laxminarayana, DCP Mahesh and others participated in the run from the ITI grounds to the Peddapalli Junior College grounds.

Gutha Sukender Reddy, chairman of the Legislative Council of Telangana state, said on Monday that people should focus on exercising, taking advantage of the open gyms and walking paths developed in town parks, and living a healthy life.

Sukender Reddy, who marked the 2K run from NG College to Nalgonda Clock Tower Centre, said Bangaru Telangana will only become a reality when a healthy society is achieved.
Keeping this in mind, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao focused on developing government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals. Among other things, open gymnasiums and walking trails have been opened in parks in all enclaves of town, he added.
He added that Telangana Kreeda Praganams were also being developed in villages and towns to encourage children and youth to take part in sports.
Nalgonda MLA Kacherla Bhupal Reddy, district collector T Vinay Krishna Reddy and Sheriff Apoorva Rao were present.

The Telangana 2K Run, organized under the auspices of the Police Department and the District Youth and Sports Department, saw the enthusiastic participation of a large number of public representatives, youth, students and athletes.

MLC Tata Madhusudan, Regional Collectors Vice President Gautham, Police Commissioner Vishnu S Warrier and Mayor P Neeraja marked the run at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium on Monday. The run ends at Lakaram Tank Bund.
Addressing the rally, Gautham said the ‘Telangana 2K Run’, which was celebrated in five parliamentary constituencies in the region, reflected the spirit of Telangana’s 10th anniversary celebration of statehood. Warrier said the Telangana 2K run was successfully completed by young people who showed unity.
The first 25 runners to reach the finish line will receive medals.
SUDA Chairman B Vijay Kumar, Municipal Commissioner Adarsh Surabhi, Additional Collector Snehalatha Mogili and others were in the race.
