Droupadi Murmu to be Chief Guest and Examiner for Air Force Academy Class 211 Joint Graduation Parade

Hyderabad: President of India, Droupadi Murmu, will be Chief Guest of Honor and Review Officer (RO) in the Combined Graduation Procession (CGP) for Class 211 at the Air Force Academy (AFA) Dundigarh, Hyderabad on Saturday, 17th June, 2023.
The 211th Combined Graduation Parade (CGP) of AFA Dundigarh will mark the completion of the arduous and challenging pre-commissioning training for cadet pilots of various services of the Indian Air Force.
During the parade, the ranks on the shoulders of the cadet pilots will be revealed, representing the awards conferred by the Presidential Council.
ROs will also pin “Wings” and “Brevets” to cadets’ chests, depending on which branch they are assigned to. The ceremony included the presentation of ‘Wings’ and ‘Brevets’ to officers of the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard and Air Force-trained cadets from friendly countries.
The flight cadet who wins the first place in the Order of Merit will be given the privilege of commanding the parade and will be awarded the “Sword of Honor” and the Presidential Medal in recognition of his/her performance. Cadet pilots who rank first in the Ground Mission Division’s overall merit rankings will also receive the President’s Medal.
The parade will be followed by aerobatics of the Pilatus PC-7 trainer aircraft, flyovers of the PC-7 formation, aerobatics of the Su-30s and simultaneous aerobatics of the helicopter demonstration team “Sarang” and Surya Kiran, a The press release said.
