Nizamabad: Parliamentary speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy said government hospitals in the state were providing enterprise-level treatment.
Speaking at the Health Day celebrations here on Wednesday, the Speaker said the state government has established public hospitals with state-of-the-art equipment. Rs 11,000 crore has been allocated in the state budget for the health sector. No other state in the country allocates such large-scale funding for the health department.
He pointed out that earlier there were only 3 dialysis centers in the state but today the number has increased to 26. He also said that a maternal and child care hospital was built at a cost of Rs 2 crore and two Basti Dawakhanas were established in Basti. Baan Swada. The foundation will be laid for the construction of a 30-bed hospital in Varni at a cost of Rs 107 crore and a 50-bed hospital in Kotagiri at a cost of Rs 130 crore.
