Heatwave weather is expected in remote parts of northern coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and southern coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Amaravati: Residents of Andhra Pradesh should brace themselves for scorching temperatures as a heatwave grips the region over the next three days. Temperatures could soar to 44C during the day. Additionally, isolated thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds are possible.
The Indian Meteorological Department issued a warning saying, “Heat wave weather is expected in remote areas of northern coastal Andhra Pradesh, Anam and southern coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rayalaseema area will experience hot, humid and uncomfortable weather. In Andhra Pradesh Thunderstorms, lightning and wind gusts of 30-40 km/h are possible in remote parts of northern coastal areas of the state, Yanam and southern coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh.”
Cyclone Bipajoy, which is moving towards Gujarat and Pakistan, has delayed the arrival of Andhra Pradesh monsoon. The cyclone has weakened the monsoon in the state, causing it to be delayed.
Hence, Nellore, Tirupati, Prakasam, Bapatla, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Eluru, Ubhaya Godavari, Kakinada, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam, Parvathipuram and Manyam areas will be very hot. These areas will experience a heatwave over the next three days with temperatures reaching as high as 43-44C. The situation in most areas will remain unchanged until June 17.
