The annual Jagannath Rath Yatra procession held at General Bazar in Secunderabad coincides with the Rath Yatra of Jagannath Puri.

Hyderabad: Shree Jagannath Swamy Ramgopal Trust organizes Rath Yatra every year for the deities of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subadra, which coincides with the Rath Yatra of Jagannath Puri. For the past 130 years, the foundation has been conducting regular Rath Yatra at the Jagnath Temple in General Bazar, Secunderabad.
The temple gates will open for Darshan from 6.15am and close by 1pm. Thereafter, the Rath Yatra procession is scheduled to start from the temple at 4pm, after passing the General Bazar, at MG Road from 6.30pm to 10.30pm, after which it will pass through Hill Street, Ranigunj and the next day around 4am Return to the temple.
Purshottam Malani, Founder Family Trustee – Shree Jagannath Swamy Ramgopal Trust asks devotees to be mindful of time and plan Darshan accordingly. “This year’s festival coincides with the centenary celebration of the founding trustee and family patriarch, Dewan Bahadur Seth Ramgopal Malani, who is widely known for his philanthropic contributions to society,” he added.
