Mancherial: The Mandal Revenue Office and Tahsildars offices in Mancherial district witnessed huge crowds with hundreds of people flocking to apply for income, community and residence permits. “During the last four days, as many as 3,000 applications were submitted for the issuance of income, caste and residence permits. As a result, the servers in the income department slowed down as they were unable to handle the increased applications in the past few days. Measures are being taken to deal with this a challenge,” Mancherial Tahsildar P Rajeshwar told “Telangana Today”.
From June 9 to 13, 18 offices in the region received a total of 9,779 applications for proof of income, according to information provided by Electronic District Manager Sunil. Officials predict an exponential increase in applications in the coming days.
Tax officials are now being forced to find other ways to process applications. Some of them rely on old methods of clearing apps. For example, they are manually validating applications and issuing certificates online. However, due to a technical glitch in the online system, applications were piling up at the office.
