Punjab minister says Dalit Bandu scheme adopted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is a model for the whole country

Adadri-Bongil: Punjab Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Baljit Kaur said on Saturday that the Dalit Bandhu scheme adopted by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is an example for the whole country in terms of Dalit welfare.
Together with IAS officers G Ramesh Kumar and Jaspreet Singh from Punjab, she visited Vasalamarri village in Thurkapally mandal adopted by Chief Minister and interacted with beneficiaries of the scheme in the village.
Baljit Kaur stated that they had visited Vasalamarri for a study to start a Dalit Bandhu-like scheme in their state for the benefit of Dalits, Baljit Kaur asked the beneficiaries about their income and life before and after receiving Dalit Bandhu scheme benefits situation.
She was impressed by the success stories told by Dalits in different sectors, including businesses set up with financial assistance from the state government under Dalit Bandhu.
Other collectors Deepak Tiwari, SC Corporation executive director Shyam Sunder and Vasalamarri sarpanch Pogula Amjaneyulu were also present.
