India and UK concluded 10th round of FTA talks last week
New Delhi: India and Britain concluded their tenth round of talks on a proposed free trade agreement last week, with the next round to be held next month, an official statement said on Monday.
Negotiations for the agreement started on January 13, 2021.
“On June 9, India and the UK concluded the tenth round of India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations,” it said.
Technical discussions took place on 10 policy areas in more than 50 separate sessions, the statement said.
The talks included discussions of a detailed draft treaty text for these policy areas, adding that “an eleventh round of negotiations will take place next month”.
