New Delhi: PC and printer giant HP is gearing up to launch its new gaming portfolio this week, with the new gaming laptop price range expected to start below Rs 60,000.
HP’s new gaming laptop is expected to be the lightest and thinnest gaming device ever launched by the company, sources told IANS on Tuesday, to further cement its leadership in the PC gaming market in India.
With its new gaming portfolio, HP also hopes to target gamers who want a versatile gaming device, they added.
According to IDC, HP continues to lead the Indian PC market with a 33 percent market share.
According to industry sources, HP accounts for about 38 percent of gaming PC sales in the country.
HP’s new gaming portfolio is due out later this week, and the new lineup promises to cater to casual, serious and professional gamers.
To make PC gaming experience mainstream, HP is investing in India’s gaming infrastructure by launching its Omen Playground store in 2023.
Omen Playground stores are designed to provide a comprehensive gaming experience, and HP already operates 12 Omen Playgrounds in 12 cities in India.
These stores allow gamers to try out PC games for free, and HP has been organizing many gaming community events at the Omen playground.
