Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Friday that all opposition parties in the country are united to fight the BJP in next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
Addressing the central government led by Narendra Modi, he said they are not working for the national interest, they just want to change the history of the country.
“Each opposition leader expressed his views at the meeting and unanimously decided to work together and fight for the election in unity. Another meeting will be held in the next few days to decide on the future plan of action. The next meeting will be held by the President of Parliament It will be held in Shimla under the auspices of Malikajun Hager, where we will make the final decision.
“We will decide at the meeting who will run from where. If any issues arise in the future, we will resolve them,” said Nitish Kumar.
“Those in power are not working for the national interest. They are changing the history and freedom struggle of this country. We are concerned about this and decided to unite,” he added.
During the meeting, Nitish Kumar was appointed as the national convener of the opposition alliance, and every leader agreed.
In a joint news conference after a large meeting here, opposition leaders said they had also decided to meet again in Shimla on July 10 or 12 to decide which seats they would contest in the Lok Sabha election. .
“We are trying to come up with a common agenda to fight together in the Lok Sabha election. The next meeting will be in Shimla. We have to develop individual strategies for each state to fight for the Lok Sabha election,” Haag said.
NCP president Sharad Pawar said the party has been fighting against the Uddhav Thackeray (Shiv Sena) party in Maharashtra for the past 25 years but is now united to save the constitution and the country.
Mamata Banerjee, chief minister of West Bengal and chairwoman of the Trinamool Congress party, said: “The people’s movement started in the land of Patna. We will fight together. The Modi government has become a dictatorship in the country. The BJP and BJP are attacking the foundations of democracy in our country. This is an ideological battle and we stand with the opposition against the BJP. We will work together to save our common ideology.”
