San Francisco: Apple’s upcoming M2-powered 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros likely won’t launch until March next year.
In stark contrast to previous reports that Apple may ship the new device before the end of the year, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman now predicts a March launch, The Verge reports.
The release of the new MacBook is expected to coincide with the release of macOS Ventura 13.3 and iOS 16.3, which are likely to be released in early February and March, respectively.
According to Gurman, the company’s most recent earnings call once again proved that the improved MacBook Pro lineup won’t be released this year.
Apple CEO Tim Cook claimed that the business has “fixed” its product lineup for the holiday season, while CFO Luca Maestri believes Mac revenue will be “significantly down” in December.
When the tech giant launched the MacBook Pro last October, those devices boosted Mac revenue by $10.9 billion, but the company doesn’t appear to be expecting the same this year.
According to rumors, the M2 Max chip will have 12 CPU cores and up to 38 GPU cores, which is an upgraded version of the M1 Max’s 10 CPU cores and up to 32 GPU cores.
