Dalai Lama prays for victims of bridge collapse in Gujarat

Dharamsala: The Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, is deeply saddened by reports of the bridge collapse in Gujarat and has written to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to express his condolences.

In the letter, he said his prayers were with the victims and his condolences were also to the bereaved families and others affected by this most unfortunate accident.

When such an event and the disaster in South Korea happened, the Dalai Lama wrote, “It was as if a disaster had befallen us all”.

He added: “I want to do everything I can to prevent such tragic accidents in the future.”
