Hyderabad: A suspension bridge over the Mahehu Dam in Morbi, Gujarat collapsed on Sunday night. The death toll climbed to 141 as of Monday morning, with several others injured.
According to reports, the bridge did not receive a pass, and police have lodged complaints with the suspension bridge maintenance agency and its managers, among others.
Reacting to the incident, Twitterati launched an attack on the Gujarat government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Netizens mocked the authorities and asked if the collapse was a “natural disaster” or a “fraud.”
“Morby Bridge collapse is a natural disaster. We all know who the god of Gujarat is,” one user wrote.
“This type of accident is not a natural disaster, but a fraudulent act as our dear Prime Minister said a year ago when the bridge under construction in Kolkata collapsed.
A thorough investigation is needed to uncover corruption (sic),” another user wrote.

Users are now asking if this is a message to save India from him.
