New Delhi: India recorded 40 new Covid-19 infections in a single day, with active cases falling to 1,513 from 1,533 the previous day, according to data updated by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday.

According to the Ministry of Health website, the total number of COVID-19 cases stands at Rs 44.9 crore while the national recovery rate is 98.81%.
The number of cured people has increased to 4,44,60,809, and the case fatality rate is 1.18%.
According to the Ministry of Health website, the country has so far administered 2,206.6 million doses of the Covid vaccine in the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
