He doesn’t love her: Task Force Police along with Subedari Police have arrested a notorious scammer from Andhra Pradesh who hatched an elaborate scheme to defraud unsuspecting individuals seeking admission to Bachelor of Internal Medicine. After a well-coordinated operation, the defendant, Chaganti Naga Sai Srinivas, was arrested on Sunday near the Hanamkunda forest office.
According to the police, scammers preyed on victim Barigela Vijay Kumar a year ago and lured him by promising to get an MBBS seat for his daughter through his dubious organization, Vaishnavi Educational Services. He managed to extort Rs 9 lakh from Kumar, claiming it was a fee to get the entrance fee. However, he failed to keep his promise, leaving Kumar and his daughter heartbroken. The victim then contacted Warangal Police Commissioner AV Ranganath who asked the task force to look into the matter.
After receiving a credible tip, the task force police acted quickly and arrested Srinivas and seized a large amount of evidence, including Rs 3 lakh in cash. Srinivas was identified as a repeat offender with a notorious history of five cases. Subedari police are investigating the case.
