British police have launched an investigation following a shooting at a wedding party with more than 100 guests.

London: British police are investigating following a shooting at a wedding at the Gujarat Society in Wolverhampton, England’s West Midlands region, attended by more than 100 guests.
Wolverhampton Police said they received a call about the incident on Saturday night and believe a car was driven into the back of the field before someone got out and drove into another car parked in the field A few shots.
Another person is believed to have returned fire at the attackers from the direction of the wedding party.
Police, conducting forensic and CCTV investigations over the weekend, said no injuries had been reported, but a vehicle was damaged and was undergoing forensic examinations.
Chief Inspector Paul Southern of Wolverhampton Police said: “This was a completely reckless attack, no one was seriously injured or killed, it was pure luck rather than intentional.”
“We believe over 100 people attended the event and it is vital that we speak to anyone who was there, as well as anyone who witnessed or documented what happened so we can bring those involved to justice. Community Council Understandably shocked and concerned by what has happened, we will be conducting additional patrols to provide reassurance,” he said.
British police have asked anyone with information to contact them to assist with the ongoing investigation.
