Hyderabad tennis player Shrivalli Rashmikaa comfortably wins 6-0, 6-1 to advance to second round

Hyderabad: Hyderabad tennis player Shrivalli Rashmikaa beat eighth seed Japan in straight sets in the first round of the ITF Women’s $25,000 Tennis Tournament in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on Wednesday Ikumi Yamazaki.
The city girl won comfortably 6-0, 6-1 to advance to the second round. Another Hyderabad tennis player, Sahaja Yamalapalli, also advanced to the second round by beating American Dasha Ivanova in three sets. After losing 3-6 in the first set, she fought back and won two sets 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the next round.
In the doubles match, Shrivalli Rashwmikaa and her partner Vaidehi Chaudhari will face Sahaja and her partner S Sadiq on Thursday.
