Hyderabad: What was once an eyesore of dirt and litter now has a new look.
From an unused space, which became an inconvenience for the residents of the old MiG colony Serin Campoli, it has been transformed into a clean and tidy park for children to relax and play.
Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) not only transformed the place into a park in Colony II but also added a bit of color and beauty along with some amenities.
The newly opened lung space spans over 2.5 acres and features entertainment for all ages in addition to a children’s play area. The theme park features lawns, walking paths, open gym, rose garden, maze garden, rest areas, gazebos and a children’s play area with equipment.
The greenery in the park, the floor of the rest area and the pavilion with wooden roof further enhance the lung space. The landscaping near the courtyard walls and within the park is attractive, and the lung spaces have mature trees that provide shade to visitors.
“There are paintings of birds, fish and butterflies on the courtyard wall of this park, which is a good leisure place for children.” The relevant person in charge of the Great Wall Management Center said. He further said that all necessary safety measures have been taken in the children’s play area.
“There is enough sand where the swings, slides and outdoor play equipment are set up. The children’s play area is built under a neem tree and other large trees to provide shade. There is also a security room at the entrance of the park,” the official said. express.
Driven by the Telangana government’s aim to increase the green coverage of the state while providing more leisure space for citizens, GHMC is developing theme parks in different parts of the city.
