Amaravati: On Saturday, Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy paid tribute to former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy on his 74th birthday, a day dubbed “Rythu Dinotsavam” (Farmers’ Day).
The governor said Rajasakala Reddy had won the hearts of the masses by introducing several pro-poor welfare programs and carrying out notable reforms in the agricultural sector.
“YS Rajasekhara Reddy will always be remembered for his invaluable contribution to the wellbeing of the people and the development of the country,” Nazer tweeted.
Jagan Mohan Reddy recalled his father, who was always committed to improving the standard of living and making sure everyone was happy.
“These efforts have cemented your place in people’s hearts. Your inspiration has always led me to these goals,” Jagan Mohan Reddy tweeted.
Also, the Chief Minister said that Rajasekhara Reddy’s birthday is a festival for everyone.
Rajasekhara Reddy was born on July 8, 1949 and died on September 2, 2009 in a helicopter crash.
