hunt: Health Minister T Harish Rao directed collectors and hospital directors to take action against doctors who are not on duty between 9am and 4pm. He wants officials to act immediately to issue a warning to doctors on unofficial leave. In order to provide patients with high-quality treatment, the state government has developed all medical facilities and equipped the public hospitals in the state with the latest medical equipment. Therefore, doctors must stay in the hospital to treat people.
If the hospital does not have a doctor in an emergency, the patient will face serious difficulties. To avoid this from happening, doctors should work together. He also directed collectors and supervisors to record the attendance of hospital staff through the biometric attendance system. The health minister made the comments during a surprise visit to the Maternal and Child Health Center here on Saturday.
To improve governance, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao created small districts after establishing separate state and government hospitals in all districts.
He informed and asked the doctors to fulfill the aspirations of the government by providing better treatment to the public and as part of this a government medical college and hospital was established in Jagthir to provide better facilities to the people. He revealed that all the doctors, professors, assistant professors, and associate professors required by special professional departments have been appointed.
Harish Rao interacts with pregnant women and their caregivers during her tour of the Maternal and Child Health Hospital, asking about the medical facilities provided by the hospital. In addition to the quality of treatment, the minister also asked about errors and the adequacy of the supply of medicines. Government hospitals are providing various types of medicines to patients. Whether medicines were not properly delivered to patients due to lack of coordination, he said.
He asks patients to inform him of the error, and he says the feedback will help him correct the problem. Patients told the minister that all types of tests, except medicines, were carried out inside the hospital. Afterwards, the minister visited the children’s inpatient ward and interacted with parents to understand the health status of the ward. Harish Rao advised parents not to go to private labs and medical stores as all types of tests and medicines will be done inside the hospital.
After reviewing the doctor’s attendance records, he had a review meeting with the doctor. Local MP Dr. Sanjay Kumar, ZP Chairman Dava Vasanth, collector Shaik Yasmeen Basha and others attended.
