New Delhi: India recorded 59 new cases of COVID-19 infection on Sunday, while the number of active cases rose to 1,432 from 1,408 the previous day, according to the Union Health Ministry.
The number of COVID-19 cases in India has risen to Rs 44.9 crore (4,49,94,878) as new cases rise. The figures put the death toll at 5,31,915.
The national recovery rate is 98.81%, according to the Ministry of Health website.
The number of people cured surged to 4,44,61,531, and the case fatality rate was 1.18%.
According to the Ministry of Health website, the national vaccination campaign has delivered 2,206.6 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine so far.
