The re-recording of “Speak Now” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, joining Swift’s other three albums in the top ten. Taylor Swift’s achievement marks the first time in 60 years that a woman has done it, and only one of three living artists has ever achieved it, Deadline reported.
According to Billboard, “Speak Now” (Taylor Version) sold 716,000 album-equivalent copies in its first week of release. Swift’s other three top 10 albums are Midnights (2022) at No. 5, Lover (2019) at No. 7 and Folklore (2020) at No. 10.
Herb Alpert previously had four top 10 albums, with Going Places at No. 2, Whipped Cream & Other Delights at No. 3 and South of the Border at No. 9 , “The Lonely Bull” ranked third and 10th. Another artist to accomplish this feat is Prince, posthumously in the top 10 with “The Very Best of Prince,” “Purple Rain” soundtrack, “The Hits/The B-Sides.” , “Ultimate” and 1999.
