Hyderabad: Chatrinaka police on Monday filed charges under different legal terms against casino organizer Chikoti Praveen and three of his private security guards for allegedly possessing firearms without a valid license or relevant documents.
Three private security guards working for Praveen, including Surender Naik, Rajesh and Ramesh Goud, were detained Sunday afternoon when they came armed to pray at the Simhavahini Mahankali Temple in Lal Darwaza.
The police present noticed them and asked about the situation. Due to their suspicious reactions and knowing they were private security guards, they were immediately detained.
Police sources said that when they verified documents including weapons licenses and permits, reasons for owning firearms, etc., they did not have valid documents.
Fraud, Arms Act and other parts were filed and three private security guards were arrested. They were taken to court and remanded in custody.
