Nagpur: A 45-year-old man in Nagpur, Maharashtra, was stabbed after refusing to pay another person Rs 20 who demanded his money to buy alcohol, police said on Wednesday.
They said the incident happened at the Sharda Nagar bus stand in the Trimurti Nagar area around 8pm on Tuesday.
“The victim’s name was Nitin Brijlal Bourasi when the 42-year-old defendant approached the victim and asked for Rs. Injured and unconscious.”
After being alerted, a team from the Rana Pratap Nagar police station arrived at the scene and arrested the accused.
The victim was taken to hospital and the police filed a case against the accused under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (attempted murder) and took him into custody, the official added.
