Pedapali: Senior scribe Pittala Rajender, 68, from the Ramagundam Coal Belt region, died of ill health on Tuesday night. Rajinder, who suffered from various health problems, died while being treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

While managing the school, he also worked as a reporter for several newspapers including Udayam, Eenadu and Andhra Jyothi. Rajender was active in the journalists’ union and was a founding member of the Godavarikhani Press Club.
After getting a job as a government teacher, he stayed away from the field of journalism. He resigned as principal.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and daughter. The final ceremony will take place in Venavanka.
