During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to remove the dams in the military district and lay pipelines as it caused flooding throughout the Nadeem colony and other areas of Tolijoki.
Hyderabad: On Wednesday, Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held a meeting with senior city officials and defence authorities and discussed issues related to Balkapur Nala’s passage through the military district.
During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed officials to remove the dams in the military district and lay pipelines as it caused flooding throughout the Nadeem colony and other areas of Tolijoki.
He also instructed officers to conduct joint surveys of Balkapur Nala to Rethi Bowli and finally to Musi with GHMC and Army officials and explore the possibility of diverting rainwater from the military district to Tolishowki.
Special Principal Secretary MA&UD Arvind Kumar, Brigadier General Soma Shankar Dy GOC, Talangana Andhra Sub Area, Colonel Siddharath Narayan, Sanjay Jaju, Deputy Minister of Defense Production Government of India, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, EnC GHMC Ziauddin and other officials attended the meeting.
