Police insist defendant forced girl to marry him

Hyderabad: A woman was allegedly attacked by her relatives in Uppal on Sunday night. The suspect, Laxmi Narayana, took the Ramantapur resident woman into the car under the pretext of going somewhere.
The two had a dispute over some issues.
Armed with a knife, Laxmi Narayana then inflicted a bleeding gash on the woman’s neck before fleeing the scene, Uppal police said.
Based on the complaint, police opened a case and arrested the man on Monday. Police insist Laxmi Narayana forced girls to marry him.
