Suryapet: One worker was killed and two were injured when a warm-up cuff support collapsed at My Home Industries in Mellacheruvu in the region on Tuesday.
The accident occurred in Unit 4 of My Home. After being alerted to the incident, tax department officer Jagadishwar Reddy was at the location and was monitoring the situation. Reddy said the two injured workers were transferred to a hospital in Kodak for treatment and are now out of danger.
In response to news reports on some media and social media platforms that six people died in the accident, he said that one person has died in the accident so far. Special rescue teams have launched rescue work, but all the wreckage has not yet been removed.
