On Wednesday, Minister KT Rama Rao visited TRS leaders and activists injured in the violence in Palivera at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad: Minister KT Rama Rao condemned the BJP’s attack on TRS cadres, saying violence has no place in a democracy. He urged the people to make a wise decision in the Munugode by-election and teach a proper lesson in the anarchy of the BJP. However, he warned BJP leaders not to test the patience of TRS (BRS) cadres in the state of more than six million people.
Along with Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali and other TRS leaders, Rama Rao visited TRS leaders and activists who were injured and receiving treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday . On behalf of the party, he pledged all support to them.
The TRS working chairman told media personnel at the meeting that the BJP carried out the attack on Tuesday under the leadership of the BJP MLA Eatela Rajender in Munugod. As a result, at least 12 TRS leaders and activists, including MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy and Zilla Parishad chairman K Jagadish, were injured in the violence.
“As their defeat in Munugode is inevitable, the BJP is resorting to petty politics to gain sympathy in the vote. Anticipating this, even union home minister Amit Shah and the party’s national Chairman JP Nadda also shied away from the polling campaign,” he said. He added that over the past eight years, the TRS government has ensured that there are no unnecessary tensions when elections or by-elections are held in the state.
