Hyderabad: Telangana’s Jeevanji Deepthi won gold in the 400m T20 category at the German Ocean Games in Brisbane, Australia, on Wednesday.
She took the top honor with a time of 57.58 seconds. Japan’s Niina Kanno took silver in 59.86 seconds, while Indonesia’s Elvin Elhub Sesa finished third in 62.26 seconds.
Deepthi is a native of Kallaeda village in Warangal district.
