Hyderabad: Helping Hand Foundation (HHF), in partnership with Wipro Care, launched a health care programme for women and children in five villages – KC Thanda, Kalwakole, Harshaguda, Ameerpet and Kandakur – in Maheshwaram mandal, Rangareddy district, on Thursday.
As part of the program, HHF will open two mobile clinics in each village each week and provide health care on their doorstep. In addition to primary care, antenatal care, women’s reproductive health issues and NCD treatment, a monthly obstetrics and gynaecology superspecialty consultation will be provided. The initiative will also focus on educating and spreading awareness about menstrual health and nutrition.
In addition to providing nutritional supplements, medications and counseling, there will be house-to-house health screenings by locally hired trained consultants to check for anemia, general health, eye and oral health, and pregnancy.
Vijay Kiran, HR Manager, WIPRO Care Hyderabad, said the idea of the programme is to bring quality healthcare to the door, especially for women.
