Prime Minister Narendra Modi spat venom at Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao as Munugode loss unbearable, says G Jagadish Reddy
Nargonda: Unable to bear the loss of Munugode, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sprayed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao with poison during his visit to the state, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy said.
The BJP threatened opposition leaders to ensure there was no political resistance. This strategy may work in Gujarat, but not in Telangana, where people don’t get fooled, he said while speaking to media sources here on Saturday.
The BJP has played all the tricks, including abuse of the central organisation and arrests, but the party was unable to win the Munugode polls. This frustration was on full display in the Prime Minister’s speech today. The minister accused the prime minister of having nothing to offer Telangana other than abusing the chief minister.
“The Prime Minister has visited Telangana on several occasions, has he ever declared or approved one rupee to the state?” Jagardish Reddy asked.
In view of the Prime Minister’s assurance that he would be interested in returning Telangana’s love for him, the minister said: “We will be delighted if the central government approves a legitimate share of the funds. The people of the country will return to the Prime Minister with double interest as he has been something for them,” he said sarcastically.
