Illegal building of MLA poaching hotel accused of being demolished in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: On Sunday, the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) demolished some unauthorized structures inside the Deccan Kitchen Hotel. The unauthorized structure that was razed belonged to Nanda Kumar, who was arrested along with two others, including Ramachandra Bharti and Simhayaji.

A senior GHMC official said some of the buildings inside the hotel were constructed without a valid permit from the company.

Earlier on Saturday, the Telangana Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed to investigate the MLA poaching case conducted a search at the Filmnagar Hotel in Jubilee Hills.

SIT police believe the three agents and their acquaintances met regularly at the hotel during visits to the city, prompting them to carry out the search on Saturday.

The SIT search was conducted as part of the investigation into a case involving three BJP operatives who tried to lure four TRS (BRS) MLAs to join their party. Police teams also conducted searches at Nanda Kumar’s house in Chaitanyapuri and another location in the city.
