Forest Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy inaugurated the “Udasi Math” at Pinjarigutta, Nirmal on Monday.
Neil Marr: Forestry Minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao attached great importance to developing religious structures belonging to different sectors and religions. On Monday, he opened Udasi Math in Pinjarigutta here. The estimated cost of the facility is Rs 5 million.
Speaking on the occasion, Indrakaran said Telangana was developing temples in a way never seen before in the country’s 76-year history. He said that ancient temples are being identified and improved in many ways. He noted that 15 shrines have been developed in the Bangalpet area alone at a cost of Rs 232 crore. The renovated Sri Mahalaxmi temple will be inaugurated in December, he added.
The minister further said that the state government is expanding a range of innovative schemes for benefits across sectors. He mentioned Aasara Pension, Kalyana Lakshmi, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Dalit Bandhu and KCR Kits. He asked those who were eligible to use the programs. He said Telangana has set an example for other states in implementing welfare schemes.
