Train police to use Papillon devices: Nizamabad CP tells officials

nizamabad: Police Commissioner KR Nagararaju has asked top officials to train officers involved in patrols to track criminals using the Papillon fingerprinting app.

The commissioner held a monthly meeting on Tuesday to review the law and order situation in the commissioner’s jurisdiction, saying that police patrols play an important role in preventing crime and apprehending criminals, so it is necessary to conduct Papillon fingerprint recognition training applications for them. He said the move would help improve the crime tracking system in the region.

The commissioners directed Station House Officers (SHOs) to step up “surveillance” systems in their respective jurisdictions. He also asked them to increase patrols to check for crime in their department.

Nagaraju required all SHOs to complete investigations of all outstanding cases within their respective police stations. “You need to expedite the investigation. There shouldn’t be any pending cases at the police station,” he directed. He also directed officials to execute all pending non-bailable warrants within the Commission’s jurisdiction.
