Telangana govt proposes development of 104 link roads in Hyderabad

The purpose of the proposed connecting road is to improve mobility, smooth traffic and facilitate the development of commercial establishments.

Hyderabad: To boost infrastructure in the city, the state government has proposed the development of 104 linking roads at a cost of Rs 2,410 crore under the Missing Links project (Phase 3). Work related to the development of the link road will be grounded for the next few days.

Among them, within the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), 72 roads with a total length of 95.47 kilometers are expected to be developed at a cost of Rs. 32 roads at an estimated cost of Rs 1,250 crore.

Bandlaguda Jagir, Ghatkesar, Kothur, Dammaiguda, Nagaram, Badangapet, Shamshabad, Ibrahimpatnam, Manikonda and Jawaharnagar are the ULBs where these roads will emerge.

Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL) said in a release that the link roads are proposed to improve mobility, ease traffic and facilitate the development of commercial establishments.

KT Rama Rao has identified 135 connecting roads with a total length of 126.20 km as directed by the Minister of MA&UD. Of these, HRDCL initially undertook the development of 37 connecting roads at a cost of Rs. 572.17 crore, completed the development of 21 roads at a cost of Rs. 273.61 crore, and works on the remaining 16 roads at a cost of Rs. 298.56 crore.
