According to sources, 5 questions have been deleted, and the scores of all deleted questions will be added to candidates in proportion.
Since five questions were removed from the 150, the points obtained from the 145 questions were calculated and rationalized to 150 points, the source said.
For example, if a candidate gets 120 correct answers out of 145, he or she will receive 120 points out of 145. A score of 150 will then be calculated (prorated) as follows:
If 145 gets 120 points, then 150 gets 150 divided by 145 times 120, which equals 124.137. Therefore, the score out of 150 would be 124.137. The source explained.
According to a Group-I notice issued by the TSPSC, “Scores for the deleted questions, if any, will be allocated to each candidate pro rata based on their performance on the remaining questions, and points will be taken into account to three decimal places to determine the human merit”.
The Commission conducted a preliminary test of the Group-I service on October 16. While the preliminary key was published on its website on October 29, TSPSC received objections to the preliminary key between October 31 and November 4.
Thereafter, the objection raised by the candidate is verified by the expert committee, and the final key is prepared according to the committee’s recommendation and approved by the committee.
After this final key announcement, candidates will formally enter the Group-I main exams in accordance with the appointment rules, up to 50 times the total number of available vacancies in each multi-district. “Once the high court has clarity on the issue of women’s horizontal retention, it will do so,” the source said.
