San Francisco: Elon Musk’s Twitter is in big trouble as another 1,200 employees quit over an ultimatum to opt for an “extremely hardcore” workplace.
The New York Times reported that the critical infrastructure team was “destroyed” on Twitter, and Musk sent an email to employees asking them for details about the underlying technology.
“Anyone who actually writes software, please report to the 10th floor at 2pm today,” Musk said in an email Friday.
“Before doing so, please email me a high-point summary of what your code commit has accomplished in the last 6 months, along with screenshots of up to 10 most important lines of code,” he posted.
Musk had earlier fired 50% of Twitter’s workforce as several key executives resigned.
After hundreds of employees resigned from the company before the deadline, Musk said he wasn’t “super” worried about mass resignations because the best employees would stay.
Several employees announced their resignations on Twitter before the deadline to meet Musk’s new job standards.
