Bangalore: Investigators investigating a mysterious explosion in a moving car in Karnataka’s Mangaluru city found suspicious items at the location of the incident, police said on Sunday.

It is suspected that a light explosive device was used in the explosion in Saturdat.
In light of the incident, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai visited the city and ADGP (Law and Order) Alok Kumar has ordered a high-level investigation.
“Investigations are ongoing at various points. Senior officials from the City of Mangaluru will oversee the investigation,” he said.
A National Intelligence Agency (NIA) team may also visit the location and investigate.
The passenger made confusing statements to police and his role was cast into doubt.
Police have collected the passenger’s ID, identifying the gim as Premraj Kanogi. His half body was burned and the police are verifying his statement and origin.
Footage of the explosion was captured on CCTV.
Mangaluru Police Chief Shashikumar said a passenger boarded the vehicle and discovered the fire.
