Finance Minister T Harish Rao inaugurated the 2-BHK house at Burugupally in Siddipet district on Sunday.
Sidi Pete: Finance Minister T Harish Rao said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government was raising the price of every necessity, while Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was distributing development gains to the poor.
Speaking after the inauguration of 45 two-bedroom houses in Burugupally village in Gajwel Mandal on Sunday, the minister said the BJP-led coalition government has raised the prices of gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, fertilizer and many other products. It imposes GST on milk, curd, handlooms and even drip irrigation, making life difficult for the poor and farmers.
The minister accused the BJP of only meeting the people when the elections were approaching, saying that Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders provide people with the opportunity to solve their problems around the clock.
He said past MLAs such as Congress’s J Geetha Reddy and TDP’s K Vijayarama Rao had brought no development to Gajwel, saying Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had changed the face of Gajwel in the last eight years. While the BJP-led coalition government humiliated the people of Telangana by suggesting broken rice and refusing to procure last year’s Yasangi paddy, Rao said the Telangana government even bought the last paddy last year at Yasangi.
Apart from the 2-BHK house, the Minister has also opened a 750 metric ton warehouse, a village hall and canteen etc. in Burugupally. He later opened 20 two-bedroom houses in Singotam and another 19 houses in Gajwel Mandal, Pidichedu village.
He also inaugurated the new ZP High School building, Rythu Vedika and Grama Panchayat shopping malls. Zilla Parishad Chairman V Roja Sharma, MLC Dr V Ydava Reddy, Forest Development Corporation Chairman Vanteru Prathapa Reddy and others attended.
