Telangana’s stellar performance at Swachh Survekshan 2022 continues with seven more city local body bagging awards

Hyderabad: Telangana’s stellar performance at Swachh Survekshan 2022 will go on to win another seven city local body awards under the ‘Fast Moving Cities’ section.
With these awards, Telangana has increased its total number in the Swachh Survekshan 2022 ranking to 23, adding three more awards in the Indian Swachhata League (ISL). In terms of total number of wards achieved by Swachh Survekshan 2022, Telangana is currently second in the country after Maharashtra.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced the Fast Moving Cities Awards in various categories on November 21, with Telangana picking up another seven awards.
Under the Fast Moving Cities initiative, local bodies are ranked according to their faster speed of achieving the Swacch Survekshan parameters, including ODF rankings and others. Thus, Warangal (city) ranks third among fast-moving mid-sized cities with a population between 3 and 1 million.
