MLC Kavitha accuses Congress of U-turn on Telangana formation

In a series of tweets, Kavitha accused Congress of making a U-turn on the issue of creating Telangana, as the decision of the then UPA government caused great disappointment and forced several young people to sacrifice their lives.

Hyderabad: TRS MLC K Kavitha strongly objected to the Telangana Congress’ criticism of Deeksha Divas, launching a scathing attack, holding the former responsible for the death of the Telangana martyr. The legislator reminded that people across the country have been ostracizing Congress, which has made it a habit to mock people’s struggles and aspirations. “K Chandrashekhar Rao launched a massive public campaign to achieve Telangana State, gaining the support of 39 political parties in the country, forcing the then UPA government to deliver on its promises,” she said.

Kavitha also expressed displeasure at the Telangana Congress leadership for repeating derogatory remarks about her. She reminded Congressman Rahul Gandhi to go to Wayanad in Kerala as he feared losing in his own parliamentary constituency of Amesi. “Instead, he lost his MP status. Although I lost the Nizamabad Lok Sabha election, I worked hard and ran as an MLC and won,” she added.
